Jamel routinely counsels higher education institutions on issues of student and employee privacy, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). He also handles various investigations involving alleged mistreatment of student-athletes, Title IX discrimination claims, and NCAA investigations involving potential violations by student-athletes, coaches and staff.
