About
I became interested in worker’s compensation law while working as a truck driver, warehouseman, and tree cutter while paying my way through school. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Aviation Science and Administration (B.S., 2003). I decided to go to law school where my grandfather went, Detroit-Mercy Law School (J.D., 2007) and became focused on personal injury law after a cousin was killed in an industrial accident. I have been elected twice by my peers to the State Bar of Michigan Worker's Compensation Section Council. In 2014, I was selected as a “Rising Star” in Michigan worker’s compensation law. The selection process by “Super Lawyers” included independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations. Less than 2.5% of lawyers in a state are selected as “Rising Stars.”
