About

Mike Shannon has over 30 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, with a practice that includes eminent domain, class action defense, products liability, e-discovery, toxic torts, medical malpractice defense, bid protests, and issues affecting the outdoor advertising industry.

He has represented a broad range of clients—from multinational manufacturers and financial institutions to closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals—across various matters, including commercial eminent domain, contract disputes, shareholder litigation, consumer fraud, antitrust, and more.

He has successfully represented national clients in high-stakes government contract protests in Arkansas, including major awards related to Medicaid services, dental benefits, and employee benefits administration. His work has resulted in contract wins and protest dismissals valued in the tens of millions, including a $12 million award upheld in 2022 and a successful protest in 2023 involving pricing violations.

In eminent domain, Mr. Shannon has secured significant trial verdicts and settlements, including a $2.6 million jury award for a church and multimillion-dollar results for commercial property owners—often far exceeding initial offers from condemning authorities. His broader litigation experience includes a $10 million commercial judgment, successful defense of nursing home operators in wrongful death claims, and victory for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission in a $32 million illegal exaction case, upheld by the Arkansas Supreme Court.

Mike is licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Kansas, and Missouri.
