About

Patrick A. Salvi II joined Salvi, Schostok & Pritchard P.C. in 2007 and was named Managing Partner of the firm’s Chicago office in 2017. He concentrates his legal practice on cases concerning personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, and product liability.

Throughout his time with the firm, Mr. Salvi has recovered over $1.4 billion on behalf of his deserving clients.

Mr. Salvi was the lead attorney on a trial team that won a $363 million jury verdict for a woman who developed breast cancer from breathing toxic emissions from a Willowbrook medical device sterilization plant. The verdict was the largest jury verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in Illinois history at the time of the trial. As one of the co-lead counsel of the litigation, Mr. Salvi was later lead negotiator for settlements totaling $456 million globally for nearly 900 Plaintiffs who had also brought claims.

In 2017, Mr. Salvi and his trial team won a record-setting $148 million jury verdict on behalf of a dancer paralyzed by a collapsed pedestrian shelter at O’Hare International Airport. The verdict is the highest compensatory verdict ever awarded to an individual plaintiff in the state of Illinois.

In recognition of his outstanding legal work, Mr. Salvi was named Chicago Lawyer Magazine’s 2023 “Person of the Year,” an honor given to the newsmaker, trendsetter or legal leader of the year.

In 2024, Mr. Salvi was selected to join the Inner Circle of Advocates, a prestigious invitation-only organization comprised of 100 trial lawyers from across the country. Members are admitted based upon their track record of securing multi-million dollar verdicts for their clients and their commitment to representing victims and fighting for victims’ rights. In 2025, he was selected for inclusion in the 2025 Lawdragon Legends guide, a list of Lawdragon’s most esteemed members who have been recognized repeatedly among the 500 leading lawyers. Only 28 attorneys nationwide were chosen to join the Legends that year. Mr. Salvi served as the 2022 – 2023 President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, where he is also a co-chair of the publications committee and a co-author of the Medical Malpractice Trial Notebook chapter on Informed Consent. Mr. Salvi is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), where he sits on the Board of Governors and also serves on the AAJ PAC Board of Trustees. He also is on the 2024 Law 360 advisory board for Illinois. Mr. Salvi has been a judge at American Bar Association (ABA) and AAJ trial competitions, as well as ABA Moot Court competitions. In addition, Mr. Salvi holds memberships in the Lake County Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association, where he is a member of the Tort Law Committee.

Mr. Salvi is a board member of Legal Aid Chicago, an organization that provides free legal services to people living in poverty. Mr. Salvi has also been a speaker at Kellogg’s School of Management’s MBA business law class and Notre Dame Law School’s “Personal Injury Litigation” class.

After he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Mr. Salvi earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame Law School. As a law school student, Mr. Salvi won an award for excellence in trial advocacy from the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

When not on trial, Mr. Salvi enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He cherishes cheering them on at sporting events or other activities, traveling with them, going to movies, playing the guitar while the kids sing, and just enjoying each other’s company in whatever they do.
