- Mr. Young represents both employees and employers in employment negotiations and litigation before state and federal courts, as well as in various state and federal administrative agencies
- In commercial litigations, Mr. Young represents both individuals and small and large corporate clients, including many financial institutios
- Mr. Young received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations (B.S., with honors, 1992) and his law degree from New York University School of Law (J.D., magna cum laude,1995), where he served as Executive Editor of the Annual Survey of American Law, graduated as a member of the Order of the Coif (top 10%), and was awarded the Sol D. Kapelsohn Labor Law Prize for his work in the labor and employment fields
- Following law school, Mr. Young clerked in the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut for the Honorable Gerard L. Goettel
- Mr. Young is a member of both the Connecticut and New York Bars, and he is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts of the District of Connecticut and Southern District of New York, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court
- Outside the office, for five years, Mr. Young served on the State of Connecticut’s Citizen’s Ethics Advisory Board, the governing body of the State of Connecticut’s Office of State Ethics
- The Board administers Connecticut’s Code of Ethics for Public Officials and Code of Ethics for Lobbyists, and Mr. Young was Governor Malloy’s first appointment to the Board
- Prior to this appointment, Mr. Young served for almost seven years on the City of Stamford’s Board of Ethics during both Republican and Democratic administrations, for the last two years serving as Chairman of the Board of Ethics
- Mr. Young is an active member of the Raymond Baldwin Chapter of the American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to the training and education of trial attorneys, and he has served as its Vice President and Programming Chair
- He also is General Counsel and a former board member of the Stamford National Little League
- He is an active member and serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees for Temple Beth El
- He previously served as an instructor for the Stamford Board of Education’s Adult Education program for more than a decade
- Mr. Young serves on the Advisory Board for the New York University School of Law Center for Labor and Employment Law, and he has spoken at and moderated panel discussions regarding employment litigation at seminars of lawyers and federal judges
