- After preaching for two years and working in the oil industry, he pursued law, obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University Law School in 1977
- He then earned a Master of Laws in Taxation from New York University in 1978
- Mr. Teague began his legal career by organizing a tax department for Cities Service Corporation in Tulsa
- Since 1980, he has been in private practice, focusing on estate planning and business and personal tax planning
- He has built a reputation for representing multiple generations of families with care and expertise
- Mr. Teague has been a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association since 1977 and the National Care Planning Council since 2013
