- Mark thereafter attended and graduated from Christopher Newport University in 1993 and then attend Mississippi College School of Law, graduating with honors in 1996
- Following graduation from law school, Mark returned to Virginia and has remained a resident of Hampton Roads ever since, currently residing with his wife and son in Yorktown Virginia
- Mark began his legal career in Hampton, Virginia, where he practiced law for nine years before becoming a founding member of the law firm of Reichle & Smith, P.C. in Yorktown, Virginia, in 2004
