Michael is highly regarded for his corporate and commercial law expertise with a particular focus on financial services, insurance, reinsurance, capital markets, health and medical defence mutuals. Michael advises insurers, futures and commodities dealers, non-bank financial institutions, broking houses, health funds, health and medical service providers, medical defence mutuals, medical indemnity insurers and reinsurers. He regularly deals with regulators such as ASIC, APRA, Treasury, ASX and SFE.

Michael spent 17 years as a highly regarded financial services and corporate advisory partner at TressCox Lawyers during which time he was appointed as Chairman for 4 years. He previously worked as Associate General Counsel at Ernst & Young for 7 years.

Michael was recognised in the 2017 and 2018 editions of Best Lawyers for his expertise in Commercial Law. He has also been recognised as a Leading Lawyer in Asialaw Leading Lawyers 2018 for his expertise in Corporate/M&A and Insurance.
