- Aaron served as GOED’s interim cabinet secretary twice before later joining the Governor’s Office as a senior policy advisor
- While in the Governor’s Office, Aaron was heavily involved in public safety, transportation, and economic development issues
- Aaron subsequently left the Governor’s Office for an opportunity to practice law at a firm in Pierre, where he focused on business and government clients, before once again answering the call of public service and returning to the Governor’s Office as chief of staff
- Aaron and his wife Laura have two school-age sons and are proud to be raising them in South Dakota
