He has successfully represented clients in federal and superior courts across New Jersey, including Hudson, Union, Passaic, Essex, Middlesex, Bergen, and Morris counties. Recognized in Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in both criminal defense and commercial litigation, he is known for his strategic approach and dedication to achieving favorable outcomes. Before joining MSR, Mr. Neary practiced at a high-volume criminal defense firm, handling serious cases such as homicide, robbery, sexual assault, and financial crimes. His experience includes municipal court representation, particularly defending individuals charged with driving under the influence (DWI). As a former Assistant Prosecutor with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, he led numerous trials to verdict, prosecuting cases ranging from murder to narcotics distribution. Mr. Neary earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University, where he was a Division I athlete. He serves as a trustee of the Hudson County Bar Association and is an attorney member of the Office of Attorney Ethics & Discipline, District VI.
