About

Catherine Henry began her legal career with the Public Defender’s Office in the Sixth Judicial Circuit, where she represented indigent clients. She spent nearly two years in the misdemeanor domestic violence division, defending clients against charges such as domestic battery, assault, and stalking. Catherine successfully took several cases to trial and achieved many case dismissals without trial. She was later promoted to Baker Act attorney, representing individuals facing involuntary hospitalization. In her final two years of public service, she represented clients facing felony charges and partnered with the ACLU to address pretrial detention, securing affordable bonds and pretrial release for her clients. Now in private practice, Catherine applies the same client-focused approach, offering direct representation and maintaining open communication with her clients. She is committed to aggressively defending her clients' rights and holding the state accountable in every case. Catherine remains active in the legal community, serving in leadership roles with the St. Petersburg Bar Association, the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. She also volunteers with Lawyers for Literacy and previously served as a Guardian Ad Litem in Pinellas County.
