About

Glenn, a native Floridian raised in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area, discovered his passion for the law through his grandfather, a Cornell Law School attendee who later became the Health Inspector of New York City. Having pursued his undergraduate and law education at the University of Florida, Glenn distinguished himself on the Honor Court and as an active member of the Moot Court Team, graduating with honors. Commencing his legal career in 1988 as a defense lawyer with Long, Weinberg, Ansley & Wheeler, Glenn focused on representing physicians, hospitals, and healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases. His responsibilities extended to diverse areas, including insurance disputes, product liability, and automobile and trucking cases. Glenn participated in numerous trials during his tenure with the firm. In 1993, he transitioned to a plaintiff's practice with Mills & Moraitakis, eventually becoming a partner in the firm, later known as Moraitakis & Kushel, LLP. Throughout this partnership, Glenn and his colleague, Nick Moraitakis, have effectively represented clients who suffered injuries or lost their lives due to the actions of others. Over the course of his career, Glenn has successfully tried and resolved various cases, with a focus on medical malpractice and personal injury. Notably, he and Nick Moraitakis argued the landmark case of Keenan v. Plouffe before the Georgia Supreme Court, resulting in a pivotal decision that held a defendant physician individually liable under the Georgia Tort Claims Act. Glenn and his partners achieved notable successes in cases against the City of Atlanta and the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA), securing significant settlements for their clients. These victories include a case against MARTA resulting in a one-million-dollar award for a victim of a stabbing at a MARTA station. Glenn's dedication to seeking justice is evident in his successful resolutions, such as a $4,085,000 verdict in a "no-offer" medical malpractice surgical case and record settlements, including a $7.82 million recovery for a patient rendered brain damaged. Recognized for his contributions and achievements, Glenn has received prestigious accolades, including being named among America's Top 100 Attorneys for Georgia with a Lifetime Achievement designation, Georgia Super Lawyers (2009 – present), and The National Trial Lawyers – Top 100 Trial Lawyers. His involvement in various professional societies, leadership roles, and memberships underscores his commitment to the legal profession and the pursuit of justice. Beyond his legal practice, Glenn is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family, golf, fitness, and boating. He has also been actively involved in professional societies, including serving as President of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in 2005. Glenn's commitment to preserving the civil justice system and citizens' access to the courts is reflected in his work as Legislative Chair for the Association in the early 2000s and his subsequent presidency.
