About

Joel M. Mann is a highly regarded criminal defense attorney who established his law practice in 2006 with the goal of delivering personalized, results-driven legal representation. His firm is built on the belief that open communication and a close attorney-client partnership are vital to achieving the best possible outcomes. By personally handling every case, Joel ensures that his clients receive focused attention, allowing them to feel confident and supported throughout their legal proceedings. A California native, Joel’s academic journey began at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. His interest in law led him to the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During law school, Joel discovered a passion for criminal defense while working as a clerk for prominent attorney Steven B. Wolfson and participating in the Juvenile Justice Clinic. These experiences fueled his desire to pursue a career defending the rights of those accused of crimes. After earning his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 2002, Joel dedicated his practice exclusively to criminal law, representing clients in cases ranging from minor misdemeanors to serious felonies such as drug offenses, DUI, sexual assault, and violent crimes. His knowledge and experience extend to complex legal issues, including post-conviction relief, appeals, and constitutional challenges. Joel has successfully argued cases before Nevada's Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, showcasing his strong appellate advocacy. In recognition of his expertise, he is among a select group of attorneys sworn in to argue before the U.S. Supreme Court. Throughout his career, Joel has built a reputation for tenacity, compassion, and a deep understanding of the legal system. His clients value his clear communication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to defending their rights. His tailored approach to each case sets him apart, and his ability to navigate complex legal landscapes ensures that his clients receive the best possible defense. Beyond the courtroom, Joel is an active member of the legal and local communities. He has served on the boards of various organizations, including Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice and the Las Vegas Anti-Defamation League, where he has worked to promote justice and equality. His commitment to both his clients and his community highlights his dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of others. When he’s not practicing law, Joel enjoys spending time with his family, staying involved in local causes, and exploring the vibrant culture of Las Vegas.
