- When not litigating, he advises public and private entities on state and federal regulatory compliance issues
- Prior to joining the firm, Nolan worked with experienced appellate and trial attorneys at the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Public Defender’s Office, and the Civil Litigation Unit at the U.S

- Nolan received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where he worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Art Greenbaum, a Senior Associate Editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law, and was invited to represent Moritz at two national moot court competitions for his exceptional writing and oral advocacy skills
- He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Criminal Law, Client Development, Small Business Finance, and Pretrial Litigation
- Nolan received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Kent State University where he was granted University Honors with Distinction for completion of an Honors Thesis of outstanding quality
