- Born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Abby later moved to Vancouver’s east side and grew up in Richmond
- Her father, a refugee who arrived in Canada in 1970, taught her the value of grit and perseverance—qualities that continue to shape her legal practice today
- Having experienced the breakdown of her own family as a child, Abby brings deep empathy to her work
- She recognizes the emotional complexity of separation and divorce and is committed to helping clients find respectful, less harmful resolutions
- Abby holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and family studies from the University of British Columbia and earned her law degree through an international exchange with Manchester Metropolitan University and Hong Kong University
- She was called to the BC Bar in 2012 and has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia, including the Court of Appeal
