- Long active in bar association activities, Ms. Stubbs has served on the Board of Directors for the Wake County Bar Association
- In 2008, she served as the vice chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Wake County Bar Association
- She is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association
- She has served on the Litigation Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Board of Directors of Meredith College's Paralegal School, the Board of Directors of the Carolina Ballet, and the Women's Executive Mentoring Coalition
