- What to you focus on?
- I spend my time litigating large scale commercial or regulatory cases before state and federal courts and government agencies, but historically my practice has been as wide ranging as the opportunities in my “Tech Valley” Region
- For example, I have worked with prominent energy companies in multi-million dollar contract disputes, permitting proceedings, and environmental compliance matters
- I’ve litigated trade secret and patent infringement claims relating to semiconductor technology, pharmaceuticals, imaging and software, and counseled and defended clients on their trademark and employment-related issues
- I represented a large telecommunications company and a well-known museum defending them against consumer class action claims of unfair, deceptive and other illegal practices, and I have also represented outside directors of a prominent nonprofit in a breach of fiduciary duty adversary claim brought by a bankruptcy trustee
- For many years I have worked with local and national media clients on their newsroom issues and defended them in first amendment, reporters’ privilege and commercial contracting suits
- I also litigate construction claims and contested probate matters and serve as lead and local counsel in special proceedings challenging government actions, freedom of information determinations and contract procurement protests
