- Called to the bar in 2002, after completing her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia, Angela practiced commercial litigation in Vancouver before moving back to her native province of Nova Scotia
- Upon her return to the east coast, she worked with ACOA and the Advisory Council on the Status of Women to write and enforce policy before building her family law practice and eventually joining Mary Jane McGinty and Christine Doucet in 2012, quickly becoming partner and instituting what would be the beginning of MDW Law

- Angela sits as an Adjudicator for the NS Small Claims Court and is a board member of Lawyer’s Rights Watch Canada, which has taken her to the United Nations in Geneva
