- After high school, Charles worked as a sales manager for an import company where he grew the company by more than 150% in a period of seven years
- It was during this time that Charles began to pursue his dream to become an attorney
- Charles went on to attend Florida International University, while working two full-time jobs, where he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Communication Arts
- While at Florida International University, Charles was selected to become a member of the Lambda Pi Eta National Honors Society
- Charles attended Florida International University College of Law, where he was named to the Dean's List and was a Dean’s Scholar
- During law school Charles interned with a renowned South Florida entertainment attorney where he worked predominantly in the music business
- After graduation Charles was elected by his colleagues and fellow alumni to be a FIU Law Alumni Association Board Member
- At his first board meeting Charles was elected to serve as the President of the FIU Law Alumni Association for 2019-2020
- Charles first began working as a transactional attorney in the entertainment field where he handled matters such as trademarks, publishing, copyrights, licensing, contract negotiations, digital rights management and acquisition, and general artist representation
