- Mr. Tobin began his career in the Cook County Public Defender’s Office on the elite Murder Task Force
- He tried numerous capital cases and achieved an unprecedented number of acquittals in high-profile cases
- He founded the law firm that would become Tobin & Munoz in 1985 and was soon joined by the late Hon. Robert J. Collins (1911-1997)
- Judge Collins sat as a felony court judge for over 25 years and also heard complex civil litigation
