- Dennis is a past president of the Broome County Bar Association, and has also served as a member of its Board of Directors along with many of its committees, including its Grievance Committee, of which he is a current member
- He has also served the New York State Bar Association, as a delegate to its House of Delegates representing the Broome County Bar Association, and as a member of the New York Conference of Bar Leaders
- Dennis also serves as a lecturer for the Broome County Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education Program on such topics as ethics, civil litigation issues and employment law
- Additionally, for a number of years, Dennis has volunteered his services to the courts serving as an arbitrator for the Sixth Judicial District’s arbitration program resolving attorney/client fee disputes
- Dennis was born and raised in Binghamton and has been actively involved in his community, including serving as the President of Catholic Charities of Broome County and, for more than 25 years, being an active member of its Board of Directors
