- Don was a member of the board of directors and a committee chair of the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce and an officer and director of the East Brunswick Regional Chamber of Commerce Charitable Foundation
- After having completed the formation of what was then called Blue Badge Association #1, and is now called the Middlesex County 200 Club, (a charitable support group for police, fire fighters and other public safety officers/ “first responders”), in 1974, he has served as its counsel since that time
- Don is a life member of Mensa as well as of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity
- Don also has a long leadership involvement in both government and political service
- He is the former chairman and commissioner of the East Brunswick Sewerage Authority, the former vice chair of the New Jersey State Council on Local Mandates and he presently serves as a commissioner of the Middlesex County Board of Elections
- Since 1992 he has been the elected Republican State Committeeman representing Middlesex County on the New Jersey Republican State Committee and he has been counsel to the Middlesex County Republican Organization for approximately 25 years
- Don, born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey and a resident of Middlesex County his entire life, presently lives in East Brunswick with his wife, Sue
