- Shortly thereafter, Eric and other members of the Leitner firm started the law firm or Lawrence, Lawrence & Gerbitz
- In 2001, Eric began to focus on complex litigation and formed the law firm of Lewis & Oliver
- Eric left Lewis & Oliver in 2019 to join Patrick, Beard, Schulman & Jacoway, where his practice focus is still complex litigation
