Admitted to legal practice in 2002, Farid is an Accredited Specialist inImmigration Law, included in the Best Lawyers in Australia list for Immigration Law since 2013; included in the Best Lawyers in Australia list for Human Rights Law since 2014, and included on the Doyle’s Guide’s 2021 inaugural list of Leading Immigration Lawyers in NSW.

Farid has advised and assisted with applications for a very wide range of visas and other approvals under the Australian immigration law, including those by employers, investors, skilled migrants, family based visa applicants, students, asylum seekers and refugees, and national innovation visa applicants. He also has significant experience in related administrative law areas, including Freedom of Information.

Representative experience

A large part of Farid's work involves assisting clients facing a possible or actual unfavourable decision, such those who do not clearly meet visa criteria, clients with health or character issues, those facing visa refusal or cancellation, and employers subject of a notice of intention to take action or sanction notice.

Farid regularly advises and assists clients with Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) matters and proceedings in Australia's Federal Circuit and Family Court, Federal Court and High Court.
