- He has also worked with insurance carriers on coverage analysis and defense strategies, advised public entities on regulatory compliance and policy issues, and supported corporate clients with commercial agreements and risk management initiatives
- In addition, James previously worked closely with veterans and their families to secure earned benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs, developing in-depth knowledge of federal regulatory processes and claims procedures
- A native of central Texas, James commissioned as a United States Air Force officer following his undergraduate education
- Following his initial training and while serving as an aviator on C-130s and Special Operations U-28s, James deployed 6 times in support of multiple combat operations around the globe and was involved in several high-stakes, no-fail missions
- He is among the top 4% of Air Force aviators, having accrued more than 1,460 combat flight hours across 570 combat sorties
- He was awarded 13 Air Medals, among others, for his service to our Nation
- Following his service in the Air Force, James served as a business leader in the electric utilities industry for several years before returning to Little Rock and embarking on his legal career
- James holds a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law
- At the Bowen School of Law, James served as President and Vice President of the UA Little Rock Law Student Veterans Organization, was a member of the Inaugural Veterans Legal Services Clinic, and was recognized for various achievements, including Top Paper in Oil and Gas Law
