- I graduated from law school while I was in my 30s and practiced for one year at a big firm in Atlanta and nine years at a small firm in Covington, Georgia (where My Cousin Vinny was filmed as well as In the Heat of the Night, The Dukes of Hazard, and The Vampire Diaries)
- We moved back to Birmingham when my mother died and to Cullman after my father died
- I am guardian for a disabled brother, father to an adult daughter, and husband to Theresa for 30+ years
- I love baseball, college football, hiking, mountains, beaches, and dogs

- My vocation today is to take care of my clients' property and estates- from estate planning to real estate investments
