- He graduated from North Central High School in 1992
- He attended and graduated from Indiana University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History
- While there Jason played varsity football, under Coach Bill Mallory, was a letter winner as well as an alpha beta honorary
- In 1998 Jason began his legal career attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan
- While at Cooley, Jason took part in many school activities including the school's moot court competition team, writing for the school newspaper and the law school's clinical internship program
- For his last semester in 2001, Jason was selected to intern with Theodore A. Krebsbach & Associates, P.C. a securities arbitration defense firm located in New York City
- In May and July of that same year Jason graduated and passed the July administration of New York State Bar Exam respectively
- In January 2002 Jason began working at FINRA then known as the NASD
- There he organized and conducted major investigations and enforcement actions against investment firms for varying sales practice and regulatory violations
- Among them was the highly publicized enforcement action against the top 12 investment firms for their conflict of interest violations between their research and investment banking departments
- This action resulted in the "Global Settlement" with these investment firms paying 1.4 billion dollars in fines
- During his time at the NASD, Jason received the Above and Beyond Award and the President's Award from Mary Shapiro
- In April 2006, Jason resigned to form this law firm in New York City to directly help businesses and individuals with their legal matters
- Two years later, he returned to Indianapolis, his hometown, to open an office right down the street from his high school
- Jason enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, a spirited political debate
- He also is an avid fan and supporter of Indiana University, the New York Yankees, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Pacers
