- She is the past president of both the County and State Bars’ Real Property Committees, is listed in The Best Lawyers in America, is a member of Dixie Land Title Association’s Governmental Affairs Committee, served on the Title Insurance Advisory Committee and serves as an adjunct professor at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law

- She has been on the Board of the Montgomery Christian School and currently is serving as its President
- Palmer is active in her parish church, having served as a member of the vestry as both a Junior and Senior Warden, as a member of the parish counsel, as president of the parish counsel, as a Sunday school teacher, an acolyte trainer, a youth advisor, and a delegate to the Diocesan Convention several times
- She has been actively involved in a number of youth programs within her parish as well as several outreach programs
- Palmer is also a member of the Order of the Daughters of the King
