- He has also mediated and arbitrated cases in Texas, Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi
- Mr. Canada understands both sides of litigation, as he began his legal career representing injured plaintiffs, handling environmental and toxic tort, maritime and product’s liability claims
- After two and a half years, he was hired as an Associate at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins & Burr: against whom he had litigated several cases
- Mr. Canada stayed with Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith for 29 years and founded their office in Gulfport, Mississippi
- Mr. Canada retired from that practice and is now a Senior Trial Counsel with the Alabama Disability Advocacy Program, advocating for and protecting the rights of the disabled in Alabama
- While at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, Mr. Canada was panel counsel for several insurance companies in Louisiana and South Mississippi in the areas of employment law, construction law and professional malpractice defense
- He was also general counsel for several local and regional companies to whom he gave legal advice related to all aspects of their businesses as well as handling their litigation needs: including contracts, risk management, commercial transactions, employment issues, vicarious liability, premises liability, insurance defense and products liability
- Mr. Canada now concentrates on issues which affect those with disabilities, such as The American's with Disabilities Act, The Fair Housing Act, and The Rehabilitation Act
- Mr. Canada also serves as an Assistant Bar Examiner for the Louisiana Supreme Court
- Mr. Canada serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Alabama School of Law teaching Pre-Trial Advocacy and Trial Advocacy courses
