- My wife, Michelle and I have made our home in El Paso and we have three wonderful children
- My wife is also an attorney and a Municipal Court Judge
- I am a graduate of Ysleta High School, the New Mexico Military Institute, and the University of Houston
- I received my law degree from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- After high school I joined the U.S
- Army eventually earning my commission as a Reserve Army Officer through the New Mexico Military Institute
- While serving with the Army Reserve I have continued to work and go to school
- After law school, I went onto active duty with the U.S
- Army in the Judge Advocate General's Corps (JAG)
- I left active duty in 2003 while staying in the Army Reserve
- I retired from the Army in 2014 after 25 years of service (a mixture of active duty and Reserve service)
- During my Army career I had the opportunity to prosecute and defend soldiers in cases worldwide
- My career included deployments to Europe with the 1st Armored Division, and the Middle East, with the 1st Infantry Division
- I opened The Law Offices of Leonard Morales P.C. in 2003
- In the years, since then I have forged a reputation as skilled and formidable trial lawyer
