He gained valuable insight into how corporations are valued and how easy it is for unethical companies to misrepresent their financial health or the safety of their products.
Attorney Mokwa earned his Bachelor of Science degree (summa cum laude) from the Eller Business School at the University of Arizona where he was selected by the faculty as the Outstanding Marketing Student and was the recipient of the Award for Highest Academic Distinction at graduation.
He earned his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law where he was a Presidential Scholar and member of the Phi Delta Legal Honor Society. He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and United States District Courts for the Middle District of Florida and the Southern District of Florida.
The author of multiple legal articles addressing financial fraud and accounting improprieties, Attorney Mokwa's publication "Enron, Sarbanes Oxley and the End of Earnings Management" (Texas Business Journal Winter 2004) is a well-respected and often cited summary of securities fraud.
