- In 2005, he received his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia
- After law school, Trevor was admitted to the Ohio bar in 2005
- He practiced at a large firm in Columbus, Ohio, for three years as a corporate and transactional attorney
- In early 2009, Trevor moved to Jacksonville
- For the next two years, he clerked in the U.S
- Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida under The Honorable Jerry A. Funk and The Honorable Karen S. Jennemann
- He then transitioned into the litigation world by joining Bank of America as in-house counsel, where eventually he became responsible for managing all defensive litigation for the Bank’s private wealth management line of business
