- In this role, Paul wrote appellate briefs and argued 3 cases in front of the Illinois Appellate Court, then worked in the Narcotics Prosecutions Bureau where he managed a felony courtroom, negotiated plea agreements, litigated felony bench and jury trials, and worked in the Special Prosecutions Unit
- In addition, Paul was part of a team that planned and implemented the daily operations of deferred prosecution programs in Chicago and Maywood
- A native of Downers Grove, Paul attended the Loyola University School of Law in Chicago
- While in law school, Paul served as a law clerk for the Traffic & Felony Trial Divisions of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, where he handled civil and criminal cases
- He also researched and drafted post-conviction documentation for felony offenses
- In his spare time, Paul is an active member of the board of directors for Life Span, an organization that serves victims of domestic and sexual abuse
- Paul also enjoys cheering for the Chicago White Sox with his son and trying new restaurants with his wife, Nicole
