- After receiving his undergraduate degree from Samford University in 1991 and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1993, Scott spent the next fourteen years practicing law in Morgan County and the surrounding area
- After serving overseas for ten years on the foreign mission field, Scott returned home to resume his law practice and continue his call to service by meeting the legal needs of the people of North Alabama
