About
Stanley Neeleman practices law in the areas of federal taxation, estate planning and business planning. Mr. Neeleman received the Federal Bar Association award for significant contributions to the development and practice of federal law and was selected by the Utah State Bar Tax Section as Tax Practitioner of the Year. He has served as Professor-in-Residence and Acting Assistant to the Commissioner at the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). He has authored books and articles dealing with tax, estate and business planning and has developed sophisticated software to facilitate the delivery of estate planning and other legal services.
Mr. Neeleman is a fellow of both the American College of Tax Counsel and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and served as president of the Tax and Estate Planning Sections of the Utah State Bar. He is a professor emeritus of law at the J. Reuben Clark Law School, where for over 30 years he taught courses in income and transfer taxation, estate and business planning and professional responsibility. Prior to joining Parr Brown as of counsel, Mr. Neeleman was a partner at Holme Roberts & Owen, Denver, Colorado.
Mr. Neeleman was listed in Best Lawyers in America 2007-2015 editions named “Lawyer of the Year” in the area of Trusts and Estates (2014) by Best Lawyers. He has also been continually listed in Mountain States Super Lawyers. Mr. Neeleman has been awarded an AV rating – the highest awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.
