Employee Rights Litigation in the Greater Washington D.C. Area

Ms. Bollini regularly represents federal sector employees in discrimination and retaliation claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Merit Systems Protection Board. She also represents federal employees and contractors in security clearance proceedings before issuing agencies including the Department of Defense and Department of Energy Offices of Hearings and Appeals, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, and National Security Agency. She serves as the principal lead attorney for Correia & Puth’s federal sector employee practice.

Ms. Bollini represents both federal and private sector employees in whistleblower reprisal matters and assists employees who are preparing to report unlawful activity to their employers or government agencies such as the OSC, Offices of Inspector General, IRS, SEC, Department of Labor/OSHA, or Department of Justice. She has litigated complex whistleblowing claims involving financial reporting, contracting fraud, shareholder fraud, industrial safety, and other matters under statutes such as the Whistleblower Protection Act, False Claims Act, Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, and other statutes administered by the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration.

Ms. Bollini’s recent clients include courageous employees with disabilities who asserted their rights to reasonable accommodations that help them achieve equality in the workplace; women medical professionals and research scientists who stand up to change institutions in which gender discrimination has persisted for decades; law enforcement officers who fight to bring an end to race discrimination against themselves and their peers; and whistleblowers who go above and beyond their job duties to call out unlawful activity including fraud, waste, and abuse that corrupts organizations and costs hard-working American taxpayers millions of dollars.

Organizations and Education

Since 2011, Ms. Bollini has served as a board member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA), a voluntary bar association of hundreds of attorneys who represent employees in workplace disputes. Ms. Bollini is also an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), the nation’s only national bar association dedicated to the representation of employees and advancement of employee rights. She serves as NELA’s Affiliate Relations Committee representative for the Fourth Circuit and the District of Columbia, and she is also a member of NELA’s Executive Board Nominations Committee. Ms. Bollini was co-chair of NELA’s Annual Convention Committee for its 2016 Convention in Los Angeles.

Ms. Bollini is also a member of the Federal Bar Association, in which she serves on the Legislative Committee, the D.C. Trial Lawyers Association, Women’s Bar Association, the South Asian Bar Association, and Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts.

Ms. Bollini was selected by her peers for recognition in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 as a Rising Star in Employment Law, and she was selected for recognition as a Super Lawyer in Employment Law in Super Lawyers magazine in 2020. Before practicing law, Ms. Bollini worked in communications for a presidential campaign, served as a legislative assistant for foreign affairs, trade, and defense for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and performed as a solo violinist, chamber musician, and orchestra member, and with major recording artists in the U.S. and abroad.
