Vaughn served as a law clerk for the Honorable James Jukes, J.S.C., in the Essex County Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part where he performed legal research on family law issues, prepared trial and bench memorandums, calculated child support based on the New Jersey Child Support Guidelines, and facilitated settlement conferences.
A Hampton University graduate, Vaughn received a B.A. in Psychology. In addition, he obtained his J.D. at Rutgers Law School-Newark, where he served as the Symposium Editor for the Race and Law Review, Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Association of Black Law Students, and ALAS representative. Vaughn is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Inc., the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity founded for African American men.
