Red light ticket

I had a red light ticket two years back, then I went back to my country. Now after two years I am back here. How to proceed with the red light ticket now. Can I request for a trial or what should I expect to end up with

Even though the case is old, if you never appeared on the case you can likely still arraign the case, enter a not guilty plea, and set it for trial. The court would have added a $300 civil assessment to the original amount you owe for not showing up at court years ago and it may be in collections. You (or an attorney) should check with the court. If this was for a red light camera ticket, there may also be issues with proper service and notice in which you could get the $300 civil assessment vacated. If from an officer, then you would have to have good cause for why you did not appear on your arraignment date.
