Most social security disability lawyers I know are not afraid to take on a good social security case. The question is whether the facts are sufficient to support the determination you want. The more likely you are to lose based on the facts, the harder a time you are going to have hiring a lawyer to work on the basis of getting paid out of a recovery that is unlikely to happen.
If you did not have counsel from the start (or at least the ODAR/ALJ level), there may be too much damage for an attorney to do much good. If you re-apply, have counsel from the beginning. If your case has some merit, many Social Security attorneys will represent you.
Social security attorneys are definitely not afraid to get involved in a good case.
You state you have been turned down all the way to appeals council. This means you filed an initial application, were turned down, filed a Request for Reconsideration, turned down, had a hearing , turned down, filed appeal to Appeals Council and turned down. It may be that your claim does not have enough evidence to support a finding of disability. Since attorneys only get paid if they win your claim they may be reluctant to take on this claim after so many reviews and denials.
