Should I enter the "Salary in Local currency" field in DS-160 form in USD or INR if I am currently working in the US?

I had a change of status done last year from L1b to h1b and am currently working in a company here in the US. I have to go to India now to get my stamping done. In the DS-160 form, there is a section which seeks your current employment details with "monthly Salary in Local Currency". Should I fill this field in USD or INR?

The local currency means the currency in the consulate where you are applying, so you must translate the USD to INR.
