Is middle name possible to avoid on n400? Can I write my name as in passport (without middle name)

My foreign passport, my social security card as well as my drivers license have my first and last name.
My green card and birth certificate has middle name on top of that.
I'm applying for naturalization and I want to have consistency in my travel documents as well as all other documents (no middle name).
Your current legal name: The instruction specifies that I need to provide the name as on birth certificate. But my current legal name per passport and all other documents is without the middle name. Can I right my name as in passport and avoid the middle name in this step?
Your name exactly as it appears on green card: With middle name (that's how the green card has it)
Would I need to provide a copy of the passport with explanation, that my current legal name is without middle name?

Although I believe you have asked this question before and have received answers, simply sign your name as shown on document noted in question. Use of your middle name will not adversely affect you as your first and last names are the same on all of the documents you reference. If you want, you may ignore middle name in signing the form.

If you legally changed your name for your native country so that your passport no longer shows your middle name, that is not necessarily recognized under U.S. law. So for the U.S., your legal name is still the one in your green card, with the middle name. That is what you should put for your legal name. The N-400 also gives you the opportunity to legally change your name (for U.S. law), and here you can eliminate your middle name if you choose this option. Then, when you receive your certificate of naturalization, it will reflect the legal change of your name from First Middle Last to First Last.
