What should i do about the major mold issue in my home?

When i moved in 3 1/2 years ago there was a mold problem. They sent a "contractor" to take care of it. His idea of fixing it was scraping the outside paper layer of the sheetrock off. Of course its back and has been for a while. Its coming through the walls and carpet. The landlord came and looked at it over a month ago and hasnt done a thing about it. My 1 year old sons toys clothes and crib have had mold on them and im fed up with the way they just ignore this major health issue. What should i do?
