a client used a videographer through us who has his own company. the contract is with his company with no mention of ours. But the client is seeking damages from us. dose the client have any legal ground in this case?

Does "through my company" mean a referral? A process by which services are delivered and payments are made via your company? Something else?
If the amount at stake is great enough, you should retain an experienced business lawyer to advise you concerning your company's rights and obligations.
