I need a divorce lawyer?

How do I know if I qualify for a simplified divorce? We have no asset just a 2 year old and we both agree to share custody!

Shop around to find a good mix of low price and experience. If you both agree to the terms of the divorce (asset/debt division, time sharing, child support), your legal fees should be relatively low and the case should not take long.
Simple case. Low cost/flat fee. Divorced Im 30 days. Look at website.
You have a child and, therefore, you do not qualify for a simplified divorce. You must file for a Dissolution of Marriage with Minor Child. If you can agree on the parenting plan, this should be a fairly painless process where the two of you sign a Consent Agreement and one of you takes it before the court. I would suggest that you at least have a consultation with an attorney in your area as there are likely issues that you're not considering which should be addressed in the Consent Agreement. Good luck!
I agree with my colleague, Mrs. Drake. You have a child and the best interest of the child is in question. The divorce does not have to be painful and you can agree in almost everything. I strongly suggest you consult with an attorney to make sure that what you are agreeing is fair and is not going to cause you problems in the future. Keep in mind that if you want to change your parenting plan and/or child support in the future, there must be a substantial change for the court to hear your request. Do yourself a huge favor a meet with an attorney. Good Luck.
