Gain legal status for my husband?

"Husband" and I were married in church however no license or legal documents as he has been deported before so we do not know how to go about this! We had a son which we have up for adoption because he was deported during this time. We want to gain legal status for him so we can live normal we have been together 3 years now any help here?

If you did not obtain a legal license for your marriage, then you are not "legally" married in the sense that you did not execute an enforceable contract for marriage was was filed in the court. I strongly suggest you meet with an immigration attorney because there is much to discuss about the particular facts of your case. Once an attorney has a full picture of your and your partner's situation, that attorney can lay out the legal options available to you both.
