How long it takes to get oath scheduled after approval of N 400?

I applied for N400 in April 2014, finally had interview in Mar 2015. Have been placed in line for Oath since April 4th 2015.I called USCIS after 90 days but still no oath letter. I did not request any name change.
Now I received a letter saying I will get a oath letter up to 6 months from June 3rd 2015! I know quite a few people who applied Dec 2014, Jan 2015 and they already citizens.
I am really frustrated as I can take any overseas trips for family events because of Pending oath ceremony.
Any suggestions about wait times or to expedite the oath date will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can schedule an INFOPASS appointment with the closest USCIS office and inquire as to the possibility of receiving an early oath ceremony based on your travel plans. You can also visit the nearest U.S. Federal District Court and inquire if a sympathetic U.S. federal judge is available and amenable to administering the oath. Good luck to you.
I agree wth my colleague. Usually it takes about 2-3 months after the approval to get an oath ceremony notice. In my experience, some N 400 applications are pending for so long if the applicants have some issues, for example criminal history. However, if your N400 application adjudication is pending over 180 days after the N 400 interview took place, and an adjudicating officer does not make a decision in your case, you may file a civil action in a federal district court.
You need to file a declaratory action in federal court and force USCIS to act on your approved application. Hire a lawyer to do it.
