I have been terminated from as a temporary employee from my job with the explanation that, I wasn't punctual and catching up .The only time I remember being late was 6 minutes. I had just started out with them and my manager spoke to me about that and I believe it hasn't happened again which I explained my reason to him. I haven't had any further complains since then. This post cuts off, so it isn't clear what the question is. I will note that Oregon is an at-will employment state, meaning that you can quit any time and your employer can let you go any time. Neither of you have to have a reason for terminating the employment relationship. In fact, they don't have to have a reason or give you a reason. There are lots of workplace protections for employees. For example, if you asked to move because you complained of an unsafe work condition and then you were fired in retaliation, that would be actionable (you could sue or file a complaint). If you were fired because you are in a protected class (aka you were discriminated against) then that would be actionable. If the employer violated its own policy, that might be actionable. But, you should talk to an attorney in person if you really want your situation reviewed. Most of these situations though there is not anything you can do.
