I know I will give up half my retirement. I want to be fair, but want to live my life too. Ive offered to pay her car off and keep her SRB intact.

Half the retirement is hers only if you were married for the entire time you served (which is a 30 year marriage is probable). Otherwise you can expect for the assets and debts to be divided 50/50. If you or she wants more of the assets, you should be prepared to take on more of the debt. Although you don't mention it, the big question is probably alimony. She will probably want more than you think you can afford to pay. You need to be prepared to justify your expenses to prove that you can't live on what you would have left if she gets the amount she wants.
Mr. Mullaney is correct. Long term marriage = alimony. If you cannot resolve at mediation, you need a lawyer for final hearing/trial. Many of us that work in Duval County offer FREE consultation - take advantage.
I agree with the other attorneys that you are possibly looking at permanent alimony in addition to giving her half of your retirement. Basically, the Court is to make sure that you are fairly equal when leaving the marriage. You should consult with and retain a family law attorney. Good luck.
