Should I tell my Probation officer about this traffic warrant?

I got a speeding ticket before I was on probation? I completely forgot about it. Few months ago I called Tx DPS to find any tickets I had so I could pay them since I finally had the money. This one was not mentioned. Few weeks ago I did a background check on myself because I found someone was trying to get credit in my name. I discovered a warrant was issued in January of this year for this eight year old ticket. I immediately paid the $800 and the warrant is gone. I report to my po every 3 months. I reported yesterday and he asked if any thing was new. I meant to tell him when i reported but we were talking about other things and it completely slipped my mind. Until this morning,of course. Should I tell him even though the warrant was 7 months old?

Don't worry about it PO's really don't care about tickets and you took care of it immediately

This ticket happened before you were put on probation so it has no bearing on your probation at all. If you had gotten arrested on it you probably would have had to explain it but that's all. I don't think you'll have any trouble over it.

Yes, you should tell your probation officer. It does not violate your probation and it will help build trust between you and your probation officer that you thought it proper to mention it. I would call him back and tell him.
