Do I have a legal case against the used car dealer?

The car broke down on labor day and I had it towed directly to the shop. The engine compression failed and my warranty will pay for repairs but the repair shop is not calling the warranty company to answer a few of their questions. I lost my job because of the length of time it's taking and no one cares
